「台灣最令我驚訝的一件事就是非常蓬勃的咖啡文化。說到亞洲，大家可能都會聯想到茶；當然台灣也有喝茶的文化，但我來之前完全沒有想到，台北的大街小巷，以及台灣的各個縣市，都充滿了咖啡店，便利商店也會賣咖啡，你很容易就可以買到一杯高品質的咖啡。不僅是咖啡的選擇很多，咖啡店的選擇也很多，無論是精品咖啡館，主題咖啡館、連鎖咖啡店，或是賣客製咖啡豆的地方，應有盡有。咖啡的選擇琳瑯滿目，加上這麼多可以嘗鮮的地方，光是每天早上決定要去哪裡喝杯咖啡都很傷腦筋，更不要說在點咖啡的時候有多難了。」-- 陸愛雲 #FacesofAIT

“One of the things that most surprised me about Taiwan was the incredibly abundant and vibrant coffee culture. You always hear about the tea culture in Asia, and of course Taiwan has that as well, but I did not expect that just about every street in Taipei and every town in Taiwan has at least one coffee shop or convenient store where you can buy a high quality cup of coffee. There is not just a tremendous selection in the coffee that is available, there are also shops for everyone; from high-end stores, to themed ones, to chain shops, to custom blends.
